It depends: The time it takes for anemia to resolve after acute bleeding depends on your iron and B12 stores, general health and severity of the anemia to begin with. With iron supplementation and otherwise good health, most anemia will resolve completely in 4-6 weeks, though it may take longer to replete iron stores. Most people will feel better sooner than that though. The elderly and ill may take longer.
