Your call: Your dermatologist will not prescribe Accutane if there is any possibility of your becoming pregnant. Acne in a young woman can usually be managed by a combination of topical agents such as a Clindamycin / retinoic combination and a systemic antibiotic such as erythromycin. If you have someone special who truly loves you, he may not even consider your acne a problem -- he can help you decide.
