A member asked:

Why are some people not able to see movies that have bright flashes on the screen without seizures?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's a trigger.: For some people with epilepsy, seeing rapid bright flashes of light (photic stimulation) can trigger seizures. In fact, photic stimulation is often done during the eeg study to improve the ability to diagnose a seizure disorder.
