Yes.: Astigmatism has to do with an individual seeing at night or day if the individual has astigmatism. The astigmatism must be corrected with the use of either spectacles or toric soft contact lenses or rigid gas permeable contacts in order to obtain one's best corrected vision. Astigmatism results when the eye, rather than being spherical, is more shaped like a football with two different curvatures.
