Because : Because your pupil dilates at night which makes you more nearsighted hi def lasek would put a higher prescription on your peripheral cornea so as your pupil dilates at night the quality of your vision is maintained they sell custom wavefront glasses n contacts but these are all bs as when you look around you're not looking out the right exact spot on your lens. We call this a registration problem hope this answers your question.

Most : Most people that have difficulty with night vision have an uncorrected refractive error. During the day, the pupil is smaller and it is easier for the eye to compensate for inaccuracy of the prescription of your contacts. This is called the pin hole effect. At night, the pupil is big and there is no pin hole with resultant poor vision. Others have poor vision because of aberrations on the peripheral cornea which become more significant as the pupil gets bigger. Custom wavefront laser vision correction may be of use to treat the peripheral irregularities.

It : It is difficult to assess what you mean by "why can't i see at night". Is this only with your contact lens or with glasses as well? Astigmatism alone should not give you a night blindness.
