Hip replacement : Hip replacement is reserved for patients that have severe arthritis of the hip that non surgical treatments are no longer helpful. These patients with "end stage" arthritis have daily pain that limits their activities of daily living. Some patients require a hip replacement after fracturing their hip in a fall or accident.
