Variable: There is no need to rush a surgeon, and the operative time can be quite variable depending on the graft choice and whether we use your own tendon. I have done a complete all-inside acl reconstruction in less than 30 minutes, but a 2 hour acl reconstruction would not be considered long.

Average 1-2 hours: Average operative time for acl recon. Without additional procedures will be 1-2 hours currently. Just 15-20 years ago, this same surgery averaged 3-4 hours.
