Safety: The hot misters I have delt with over the years have a heating elementand produce scalding water as well as steam.Most misters today use tuning fork technology and produce mist particles without the heat, or risk. By the time it gets to the kid it will cool off anyway, so i avoid the risk of hot steamers and recommend the cool mist.
