Know your lumps: By self exam, aided by a doctor. Watch for change. You do not state your age, fm hx, or reason to worry, but once 40, mammograms are a 3rd way to watch stability or change.

Just remain alert: You know your own breasts better than any physician; check thoroughly at the same time each month and bring any dominant mass to your physician's attention. Naturally lumpy "(fibro)cystic" breasts are not a cancer risk and today considered a non-disease. Decide with your physician about the appropriateness of imaging and comfort measures such as less caffeine or wearing a bra at night.
