Improves symptoms: Some emptying does occur. Symptoms are worse when your stomach is full. Smaller meals helps to minimize symptoms though it does not treat the disease.

Gastroparesis: keeps the stomach from emptying properly. The worst thing you can do with gastroparesis is to let the stomach get full and distended. Eating small, frequent meals keeps the stomach mostly empty which improves symptoms. Hope this helps!
