A member asked:

What do they do on your first visit to the urologist if you have recurring uti's?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Exam : Evaluation should include thorough pelvic exam including attention to estrogen status of tissues, prolapse or retention and possible mass (growth) or constipaiton. Any labs, such as prior urinalysis or urine cultures should be brought to first visit as these provide valuable information. Cystoscopy or evaluation of bladder lining with small telescope may be performed.
