How can i relieve the pain from a swollen lymph node?

The cause: Tender lymph nodes tend to be a response to bacterial more than viral infections. But even dandruff on the scalp can cause a tender lymph node in the neck. Where is the lymph node is the first question? What is inflamed or infected next? It may be best to see a health care provider to let them look at it.
