Can not talking about emotional distress or trauma be the right way to go?

With whom?: Talking about distress or trauma in a supportive way to understand what happened and make new healthy choices about how you want to move forward is usually good, but talking "in circles" with someone who isn't helpful to you, even if they are a professional, can make things worse. Listen to your gut & respect yourself - if talking with someone makes you feel icky, they may not be the right 1 for u.
