Why does only one of my legs swell?

Dr. Ted King answered

A number of reasons: Swelling in one leg isn't uncommon. Whether both legs swell or one and if one, which one, depends on the cause of the swelling. Swelling can be due to lung, heart, liver, kidney, thyroid, other glandular, vascular, orthopedic, and/or lymphatic problems, to name a few. You should see your doctor to look into the cause of your swelling and find out why only one of your legs swell.
