Thorough work up: BP that stays that high even with 3 meds needs a work up above that of the typical pt. The blood levels of catacholamines and other vasoactive substances should be checked. The urine should be checked also. If any abnormalities are found you may need an MRI if the adrenal glands as well.This would allow us to find an adrenal adenoma. A renal artery dopller may uncover renal artery stenosis.
