Ice, nSAID's+brace: Ice and immobilization are the first treatments, after you decrease your texting. Over the counter braces and anti-inflammatory medications will also prove very helpful. Occasionally, prescription medications, injections and/or occupational therapy may be needed. Surgery is rarely indicated. You may also consider using voice recognition to spare your thumbs!
