Pregnancy & Sjogrens: Becoming pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy is possible with sjogren's disease. This depends on the severity of the disease and the presence of certain antibodies that some sjogren's patients have. My best advice is to make an appointment with a high-risk obstetrician before you get pregnant for a pre-conception visit.

Sjogren's Pregnancy: Pregnant women with sjögren’s syndrome should notify their obstetricians and pediatricians, since maternal auto-antibodies may cross the placenta and cause problems for the infant. An example of this complication in the baby is complete heart block. Please speak with your OB and get referral to high risk specialist.
