Is thoracoplasty succesful?

Cosmetic correction: The scoliosis techniques during surg including derotation maneuver achieves up to 80% correction w/out thoracoplasty. I personally don't think it's necessary & the post-op pain is not worth the absolute correction. None of my patients have ever complained for not having thoracoplasty & have been quite happy.
