How long is to long to have a fever in 2 yr old w/ a " mild throat virus was 102.5 mon now it goes from 98.8 to 99.5 since mon july 2 ?

Not too long: Fever is a natural part f the body's defense mechanisms. 99.5 is not technically a fever and the fact that the temp has decreased is reassuring that the toddler is getting better.
