A member asked:

In autoimmune hepatitis, do lfts ever go down?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: With proper treatment, liver enzymes should normalize. This is the goal of treatment. Occasionally treatment resistant disease can occur and occasionally lfts can remain elevated due to other reasons such as fatty liver, alcohol or medications.
