Chronic painful Dz: Rsd is a chronic progressive condition characterized by pain, swelling, temperature/ color changes of the affected extremity. The pain can spread to the unaffected side. It most often involves an arm or leg but can affect knees, abdomen and the face. The condition responds best to treatment if given early after symptom onset. Treatment is difficult and involves meds, injections and pt.

RSD: The most common symptoms of RSD include: Allodynia: painful response to non-painful stimulation. Vasomotor symptoms: skin color & temperature changes. Sudomotor symptoms: sweat pattern abnormalities. Trophic symptoms: abnormal skin, hair & nail growth.
