Increase fluids: Most common gout inducing drug is probably hydrochlothiazide (hctz) used to treat blood pressure.As weird as it sounds: increase water intake to prevent gout attack.Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) lowers bp(in the long term) by reducing sodium in the blood vessel wall-we think!-not by fluid reduction in the vasculature.
