Specializes in Pediatrics
Soap and water: Clean first with soap and water. I recommend that for the first three month bottles and nipples should be sterilized either in the dishwasher or put in boiling water for 5 minutes.

With soap and water: Wash bottles and pacifiers with dishwashing soap and water, just as one would do with regular dishes after dinner. Do not let milk residue dry in the bottles, or cleaning them will be harder to do. Parents may choose to sterilize the bottles and pacifiers after cleaning them.
