Stiff neck headaches: There are many causes of a stiff neck. Disc, muscle, facet joint etc... Most commonly there is associated neck muscle tightness and spasms. This spasm pulls on the back of the head where the occipital nerves are and this produces a headaches that starts at the back of the head and goes over the top.
