Migraine&stiff neck: Migraine causes the muscles around the neck and head area to go into a spasm. This causes the stiffness.

Part of migraine: About 75% of migraineurs have neck pain either before or during a migraine headache attack which is part of the migraine pain which is a referred pain from the brainstem. The neck pain is often confused with a stress headache or neck problem and some people don't realize that they have a migraine.
