Medrol (methylprednisolone) dose pak?: You might benefit from a short course of Prednisone if rash is persistent or severe. Please talk to your doctor.

Nothing: The rash may or may not be related to the intravenous contrast. Take benedryl if it helps. See a doctor if rash persists. If you get another contrast inject, you need to tell the technologist. You may need to take benedryl or other medication before getting injected.

Benadryl (diphenhydramine) good.: Follow package dosing. If having breathing problems go to er. You have had a contrast reaction and need to notify your doctor and list contrast on your medical allergies. You must notify the technologist prior to any further test that uses contrast or you may have anaphylaxis. You will need premedication in the future.
