Minimal: Usually there are no symptoms and blood work discovers the condition with elevated calcium and PTH levels. This is a benign condition in over 99% of cases. The problems that can develop from hyperparathyroidism are kidney stones, osteoporosis, fatigue, muscle aches, joint pain, bone fractures, abdominal pain and concentration issues.
