Must your breasts be checked for breastcancer by a doctor's exam and a mammo, or just one is good enough?

Both better.: Manual palpation can uncover nodules bigger than 1cm. Mammograms can find lesions much smaller than this. Additionally, mammograms can be false negative- that is may miss a palpable lesion. The two exams are considered complementary and doing both increases the chances of finding a lesion.

Both: Both is necessary. Each compliment the other. Triple exam is even better. Self breast exam follow by the above two.
