Depends: The best answer is it depends on lifestyle. For the average person at 11, the coverage should be effective for 10 years if the child completed the primary series earlier. If the kid likes to play football, walk in muddy streams, camps, hunts, works in the dirt a lot, i'd only count on 5 years before getting another booster.
