If something shows up from my babies heel prick test, when should i expect to be notified by the hospital?

Depends: In my state newborns are screened before hospital discharge & at ~2wk. The lab has usually contacted me at about a week for a worrisome screening test with a request for further studies.The first screening may not pick up on all issues so the second test is also important.The job of notification generally falls on the attending dr not the hospital.
