A member asked:

My daughter's heel prick test showed 10.2 anemic but blood test showed not anemic? which to rely on?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Venous draw : The heal prick test is a quick way to get a sample & can produce reliable results;however, the tech may squeeze enough body serum into the sample to dilute the sample. A blood test drawn from a vein or artery is much less likely to have a sampling error.
