Depends on location: Whether the clots are serious problem will depend on if the clot is in the vein that is just under the skin or in the vein that is deep inside the leg. Clots in the deep veins are serious problem as they can get loose & can travel to the lungs and cut off circulation to it. They need to be treated by blood thinners and at times a mesh higher up in vein. Clots under the skin are not serious.

Mgt and work up.: It is treatable and her physicians will run tests and provide ant coagulation therapy. There are genetic causes which can be considered while performing diagnostic tests.
