Uncommon: For cancer to occur in young people. The odds of cancer before age 40 are much less than any decade after age 40 (http://bit.Ly/m7jke3). The common cancers in young people in lymphomas, leukemias, sarcomas, and germ cell (gonadal) tumors. They are aften without obvious symptoms. Persistent high fevers, weight loss, and night sweats may occur with lymphoma. Painless mass may occur w gonadal.
