How common is seeing large halos after doing cataract surgery ?

Depends: Halos are common around light for the first 24-48 hours and is due to swelling and dryness of the cornea following surgery. This typically subsides quickly. Some people have star-bursting / halos / glare as a side affect of artificial lenses, but is uncommon.

Haloes: Haloes after successful cataract surgery are generally related to residual glasses prescription. Once completely healed, you should be able to get this corrected and haloes should improve/resolve. If not, your eye doctor should be able to elucidate the issue causing the haloes.

Halos after CS: Halos are not uncommon after cataract surgery: due to healing process/inflammation; type of implant you had (multifocal implants can give more halos initially compared to monofocal or accommodating implants). Majority of halo complaints resolve as brain adapts. More info: eyedoc2020@blogspot.com
