Please help with contact lenses, can they cause sore eyelids after a couple of weeks?

Yes: Contact lenses can cause irritation of the conjunctiva, which is the pink skin on the inside of your eyelids. Over time you can develop giant papillary conjunctivitis, which can make the eyelids sore and make wearing lenses difficult. This is treated with a combination of allergy drops, topical steroids and a holiday from lens wear.
