It varies.: It depends on whether your macula, the central portion of your retina where we obtain our most precise vision, was originally detached at the time of your procedure and how long it was detached prior to the surgery. If your macula was attached prior to your surgery, your vision generally recovers more quickly. If your macula was detached at the initial procedure, your vision may not recover fully.
