A member asked:

Do they contain the same contents among different brands of artif. tears?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mostly: Artificial tears are sterile mixtures of water, various salts, and wetting agents. The concentrations of the components vary a little and for some that is a big difference. If you are doing this on your own, start with inexpensive house brand and work your way up the expense ladder to improve the effects if needed. Avoid the "gets the red out" drops which are drying.
