when i woke up my eyes were watery; is this the start of pinkeye?

Pink eye: Nasal congestion can cause watery eyes because the tears have a problem draining into the nose. An eye irritation, allergy or corneal abrasion can cause watery eyes. It could also be the start of an infection.
