Allergies : Rinse eyes with saline and use an over the counter allergy eye drop preparation. Monitor temperature, and if thick drainage occurs consult with Healthtap during a consultation or with your physician. There are different types of pink eye. Further symptoms of a viral infection would make an infectious cause more likely. Avoid dust, smoke and other irritants.
