Consider it now: If you are not pregnant after one year (6 months if you are over 35) of unprotected intercourse, you should see a gynecologist or a reproductive endocrinologist for an evaluation. Some people who have risk factors for infertility should be seen earlier: eg women with medical problems, irregular periods, endometriosis, previous pelvic surgery or infection, etc.
