Myomectomy & sex: After myomectomy you can have sex when you've healed from surgery - usually 3-4 weeks. Depends on whether done laparoscopically or by laparotomy. We like for patients to avoid trying to conceive for 3 months. That's how long it generally takes for the scar on the uterus to have healed sufficiently to withstand expansion and stretching of the uterus associated with pregnancy.
