Unable to hold urine: It means when the sensation occurs that the bladder is full and needs to be emptied, the patient is unable to hold the urine and it drips out. There are many causes such as chronic infection or inflammation, abnormal neural input to the bladder, bladder stones or other foreign bodies, etc.

Urgency: This is where you experience an involuntary loss of urine immediately preceded by the urge to empty your bladder. Other symptoms of an overactive bladder can be frequency, urgency with or w/o incontinence, and the need to get up at night frequently to empty your bladder.

Urge Incontinence: Incontinence that is caused by a sudden urge to go and unable to make it to the bathroom is urge incontinence. Kegel and pelvic floor exercises can help with holding it in.
