No, however: Typically this is treated with medication rather than surgery. Recently the use of Botox injections in the bladder via a cystoscope has been applied for this problem as well with good results. One could consider this a surgical procedure.

Urge treatment : Urge incontinence is usually treated with pelvic floor muscle exercises, behavioral techniques, physical therapy, or medications. In some cases that have been resistant to these concervative means certain procedures can be performed such as Botox injections into the bladderuscle or implantation of a bladder pacemaker known as interstim.
