Is long term hospital care the same thiing as hospice care?

No: Ltac or long term acute hospitals fall somewhere between acute care hospitals and nursing home. In ltac hospitals patients stay for a longer period of time then in the short stay hospitals.

No: Hospital care is designed to treat acute medical problems that cannot be handled as an outpatient. Hospice care is care focused on comfort of terminally ill patients which does not attempt.To fix underlying medical issues
