A member asked:

Is the rogaine (minoxidil) foam less irritating than the liquid form?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: In a study reported in the journal of the american academy of dermatology, the incidence of contact dermatitis and chronic scalp itching was significantly less in patients using the foam vehicle as compared to the standard 5% solution. The foam solution doesn't contain propylene glycol, an agent that commonly causes irritation and occasional contact dermatitis.
