The most useful measures that you can do include wearing compression stockings, good aerobic activity like walking or biking, avoidance of hot baths, and maintenance of proper weight. Some supplements such as venostat may reduce symptoms due to veins, but won't clear the veins.

Yes it is OK: The purpose of the evlt procedure is to close the incompetent saphenous vein. The blood breakdown products in the vein is an acute thrombus and is the goal of the treatment and part of the healing process. It should not however extend into the common femoral vein. If you are experiencing pain, you may obtain relief with wearing a compression stocking.
