Sorry for your pain: Try lying flat on your back either on the floor or in bed. Bring your right knee up to about 90 degrees - like you are going to pull it to your chest but not so far. Slowly and gently, rotate your right knee towards the left. If it reproduces your pain, it could in fact be coming from the ball and socket hip joint. You really need to see your doc and get an xray of the right hip.
