Common: This is a very common pattern in someone who is having problems with the lower lumbar spine. There are many potential causes of this including problems with the discs, nerves in the spine, joints in the spine, tendons and ligaments. Best to see your doctor and get checked out. These symptoms will often go away on their own as well but if they persist beyond a couple of weeks see your doctor.

May be disc related: While i agree in part with the previous doctor, this also may be a reflection of si joint injury, so seeing an osteopath may be as valuable. Even a pt skilled in manual medicine can be effective.
