Dissolve powder: The powder (polyethylene glycol) gets dissolved in water or other liquid-becomes tastelss liquid, not gummy. Do not self treat possible impaction or obstruction. See md. Bowel obstruction can be a big deal; laxatives are contraindicated (i.e. Do not use) if obstructed. Fecal impactions and possible obstructions need to be evaluated by md before advising appropriate rx.

No and NOOOOO: Mirlax is powder and mix in water or juice. Do not take any laxative by mouth with possible bowel obstruction ever!
