Possibly : Short bowel is usually associated with diarrhea....but either way if your experiencing chronic constipation it wouldn't hurt to give miralax (polyethylene glycol) a try. It's a benign medication. Take 17 g per day and see if it helps. If not see your dr.

Decrease pain med: drink more water and you can try miralax (polyethylene glycol). You should check with your doctor to make sure miralax (polyethylene glycol) is ok to take.
